Please note: Previous experience in PowerFactory basics and some experience in handling of PowerFactory time domain simulation functions, or attendance at an introductory course, is essential. The Self E-Learning course Introductory Course: Load Flow and Short Circuit Calculation, for example, can be used to acquire the necessary basic knowledge and the Self E-Learning course Introductory Course: Time Domain Simulation, can be used to acquire the necessary basic knowledge on time domain simulations.
Der Schulungskurs vermittelt einen Überblick über die Hochspannungs-Gleichstrom-Übertragung (HVDC) mit Spannungsquellenumrichtern (VSCs). Insbesondere werden modulare Mehrpegel-Umrichter (MMCs) als modernster Umrichtertyp für HVDC-Anwendungen behandelt, insbesondere beim Anschluss von (Offshore-)Inselnetzen oder schwachen Netzen. Topologien und Regelungen sowie das stationäre, harmonische und dynamische Verhalten werden erläutert. Die Teilnehmer lernen, wie sie diese Systeme in PowerFactory modellieren und analysieren können. Dabei werden praktische Anwendungsszenarien untersucht.
This training aims at enabling the participant to understand modern HVDC devices, diligently analyse a power network including HVDC and identify benefits as well as limitations.
Important hint: This training will be held for PowerFactory 2026. Older versions may have a different structure in the menus or do not yet have some of the functions presented. The PowerFactory exercise projects provided in the training were created with PowerFactory 2026 and cannot be imported with older versions.
