Description

Please note: Previous experience in PowerFactory basics, or attendance at an introductory course, is essential. The Self E-Learning course Introductory Course: Load Flow and Short Circuit Calculation, for example, can be used to acquire the necessary basic knowledge.

PDF with Training Content

This training gives the participants an introduction to the handling of the time domain simulation functions in PowerFactory. It includes the following topics:

  • Definition of result variables and simulation events
  • Visualisation of simulation results
  • Simulation scan
  • Definition of dynamic controllers

The various hand-on exercises with detailed instructions ensure that participants will gain a sound introduction to the use of time domain simulations in PowerFactory.

Important hint: This training was created for PowerFactory 2025. Older versions may have a different structure in the menus or do not yet have some of the functions presented. The PowerFactory exercise projects provided in the course were created with PowerFactory 2025 and cannot be imported with older versions.

Licence and Material

A 30-day access to the booked course in our learning management system (LMS) starts immediately after ordering. In the LMS you can view the English training material that consists of presentations, exercises, projects and videos that show the execution of all exercises in detail.
