SKU: S2026.ELearn_GCoRG.En Category:

Description

Please note: Previous experience in PowerFactory basics, or attendance at an introductory course, is essential. The Self E-Learning course Introductory Course: Load Flow and Short Circuit Calculation, for example, can be used to acquire the necessary basic knowledge.

Full training program: PDF with Training Content

This comprehensive course provides participants with an in-depth understanding of the tools and techniques used when analysing the integration of renewable energy sources into the power system, with a particular focus on Inverter-Based Resources (IBR). The course introduces key aspects typically considered in grid compliance assessments, covering topics such as:

  • Static reactive power requirements
  • Short-circuit calculation
  • Harmonic analysis
  • Dynamic FRT simulation
  • Frequency event simulation (LFSM-O and LFSM-U)
  • Energy yield analysis

Each module combines theoretical foundations with practical exercises that provide hands-on experience in the use of PowerFactory.

Important hint: This training was created for PowerFactory 2026. Older versions may have a different structure in the menus or do not yet have some of the functions presented. The PowerFactory exercise projects provided in the course were created with PowerFactory 2026 and cannot be imported with older versions.
